I'd never seen a Tiger my self before, apart from illustrations and photographs, so when I walked round the corner and saw this magnificent creature staring at me through the fence I was both petrified and enchanted at the same time. After staring mesmerized for a few minutes I slipped the lense of my camera through the fenceholes and clicked the shutter ... this was the result.

I am actually so pleased with this photo ... ever since I was little I wanted to see a real tiger and get a decent photo of one. The shadows are annoying but I don't think this came out so bad! It just makes me sad that there are only around 2500 tigers left in India. When compared to the 1 billion or so people sharing the same country it makes me feel sick.
